ACCOMMODATION: Moolmanshof Bed and Breakfast It is a classic example of a Cape Dutch style farmhouse and is situated on the last remaining hectare of the original farm. Stroll around the park-like gardens, relax under the oaks and watch newly hatched owlets peering from their nest or just cool off in the sparkling saltwater pool. Accommodation consists of 3 double rooms en suite in the Manor House and self catering accommodation is also offered in the restored old stables on the farm. Enjoy the privilege of actually sleeping in a National Monument. The manor house has recently been restored and stylishly decorated to offer heritage accommodation with the unpretentious and relaxed atmosphere of a bygone era. It is here where old-world charm meets contemporary comfort. Scrumptious farm breakfasts are also offered and the restaurant will soon be open for dinners. Children/pet/wheelchair friendly. Purper Winde Bed and Breakfast Purper Winde B&B is a beautiful old farm house, situated on the banks of the Koornlands River. Relax in the informally elegant lounge around a log fire. We regret – no TV. Honeymoon suite in the loft with Victorian bathroom en suite and Queen Anne stove. Enjoy sundowners on the deck or look at the stars at night and if you are lucky, watch the bushbuck grazing in the garden. Magnificent views of the exquisite Langeberg Mountains with sounds of the river meandering through the wooded garden. Bo-Kapie Self Catering Cottage: Built in 1833, BO-KAPIE is one of the oldest houses in Swellendam. It is also the last of the houses dating back to the slave history of Swellendam which ended with their emancipation in 1834. A romantic little hideaway, the cottage oozes charm and nostalgia. Furnishing is simple with pieces aged by life. There are 2 bedrooms, main bedroom en suite with a Victorian bath. There is also a second bathroom. The outside flatlet has twin beds and shower bathroom en suite. BO-KAPIE sleeps up to eight people and is fully equipped for self-catering including bedding. There is an open hearth in the living room/kitchen with plenty of wood provided. It is centrally situated for museums, restaurants, shops, golf-course, hiking trails, Marloth and Bontebok Nature reserves etc. With so much to see and do in and around Swellendam, BO-KAPIE invites you for a longer stay.
