At the base of the majestic Outeniqua mountains in the Wilderness, lies our little charming horse ranch, Black Horse Trails. We are a relaxed and friendly bunch with whom you can enjoy a precious few hours of your holiday time, in a true animal crazy environment. The beautiful Friesian horse is our breed of choice for our trail riding due to their friendly, easy going temperaments and good manners. We have suitable steeds for any level of experience you may or may not have on a horses back, everyone is welcome! We have a number of different rides to choose from which include: • A one and a half hour ride through the eucalyptus and black wood forest. • A three hour ride through the pine plantations and indigenous forest to the waterfall where refreshments and swimming in the rock pools can be enjoyed. • Special occasion rides where a fantastic picnic at the waterfall is laid out to make the moment absolutely unforgettable. • And a full moon one and a half hour ride through the eucalyptus and black wood forest. The bird and animal life in the forest is abundant and spotting of raptors, Loeries, buck and monkeys are very common on the trails. We are not too far off the beaten track for you not to come visit us. We are between Sedgefield and Wilderness on the Seven Passes road that leads to Knysna. Looking forward to meeting you!
