The Little Mazot has been given a 3 star rating in the category for Self-catering accommodation. The Little Mazot is one of 4 freestanding log cabins, all of which are surrounded by indigenous bush and each with their own unique character. All 4 cabins have a private deck with stunning views overlooking the Salt River Valley and the hills beyond. All cabins are fully-equipped for self-catering. A daily cleaning service can be organised at an extra cost of R75.00 per day. The Little Mazot is a cosy, two-bedroomed cabin, perched on the Eastern slope of the historical Kanonkop Hill. It has magnificent views to the Knysna Lagoon and the famous Knysna Heads. Be mesmerized by the twinkling of the night lights of Knysna town, 4km to the East, while sipping sundowners on the spacious deck and preparing a traditional South African “Braai”.The main bedroom is furnished with a comfortable double bed and has its’ own French door leading onto the deck. The second bedroom is furnished with twin beds. The Mazot has a separate bathroom with toilet (no shower). The comfortable lounge has a T.V.(with limited D.S.T.V. viewing), and leads into the open-plan kitchen which is fully equipped with a three-plate electric stove, microwave oven, large fridge /freezer, cutlery, crockery and cookware. Linen and towels are provided and changed regularly. The Little Mazot has off-road, undercover parking. The Zwee Cabin, little sister to the two-bedroomed Mazot, is a tastefully furnished bachelor unit, ideal for a couple looking for quiet getaway. It is fully-equipped for self-catering with a kitchenette where guests may prepare light meals. The cabin has its’ own private braai (BBQ) area. The lovely, ever-changing views of the Salt River Valley can be appreciated from the large, North facing, semi-covered private deck leading off the open-plan lounge, bedroom area. The Zwee Cabin has an en-suite shower (no bath). Linen and towels are provided and changed regularly. The Zwee Cabin has off-road parking. Lolly’s Cottage is a charming one-bedroom cabin with exquisite views of the Lagoon to the South, Knysna Town to the East and the hills to the North, from its’ large, private deck. Lolly’s also has its’ own private braai (BBQ) area. It is fully-equipped for self-catering. The cabin is eco-friendly and completely reliant on filtered rainwater, solar power and gas.T.V. and D.V.D. player are provided as well as a sleeper couch for those guests who require it. It has a full bathroom en-suite with a shower facility. Linen and towels are provided and changed regularly. Lolly’s Cabin has off-road parking and it is the perfect getaway for a couple looking for a quiet weekend. RATES: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost of accommodation is required to confirm the reservation. The balance of the account is payable upon arrival.
