Using the Port Elizabeth approach may be more direct as fewer towns have to be passed through but using the George approach is definitely more scenic. Both are approximately 170 kilometers from Storms River Village and the cottage. Close to the village at 16 kilometers is the Storms River Mouth in the Tsitsikamma National Park which has pleasant beaches, an a la carte restaurant, a snack bar and the famous boardwalk which features two suspension bridges over the actual Storms River. Activities in the area include: Tsitsikamma Canopy Tours, Bloukrans Bungi Jump, Black Water River tubing and Mountain walks. Within walking distance of the cottage are the shops, restaurants and the Protea Tsitsikamma Village Inn. The cottage is situated on the actual edge of the indigenous forest and is fully equipped with just about everything you would expect to find at home and is open plan with a large double bed plus large sleeper couch, open wood burning fireplace, bathroom with the choice of Victorian style bath or separate enclose shower. The cottage has it’s own little evergreen garden whilst the main garden is woodland in character. The utter seclusion of the cottage lends itself to both the honeymooners or family type occasion with ample space for parking vehicles within a fenced area with a gate which is locked after sundown.
