With Ocean Safaris boat based whale and dolphin watching, you can be assured of an exclusive, legal and environmentally sensitive encounter with our magical marine co-habitants. Our location is a natural magnet to visitors from near and far, both human and aquatic. The bay is protected from most prevailing sea and weather conditions by the spectacular Robberg Peninsula Plettenberg Bay. This means that we can go to sea more frequently than any other operator in the country. Our larger vessel, “Fatboy” (local nickname for a Southern Right Whale), has a comfortable 30 passenger seating configuration with sufficient space on deck for all passengers to view the animals we encounter. Groups of 12 or less are catered for on our 25 foot catamaran, “Dolphin”, where passengers are seated 3 abreast in four rows, with ample room on the deck for all to get a view of the animals. All passengers are required to wear the lifejackets supplied for the duration of the trip. There is adequate space on our vessels for each passenger to bring a bag and/or camera bag.
