Delight in petting the foals and stroking the lovely mares... ACTIVITIES: When you are not playing with the horses there is a 25 meter pool to swim and pool loungers to recline in. (The pool is for guests and function goers only.) Our Cart Rides are great for all ages and very scenic, through the fynbos. The ride takes about 3 quaters of an hour and we stop at a magnificent view point over looking the Leeukloof valley. The backdrop is the Outeniqua Mountain range. The cart is pulled by Bobby our gelding who weighs a ton. It takes up to six people and the ride costs R60pp and includes Tea or Coffee served with cake. There is a magical children's playground with a castle in it, pony rockers, swings and everything a child desires. There is also a touch farm with a tame sheep called Zorro and a calf called Puli, both these caracters love being petted. Besides the Percherons, there are also two ponies for kiddies to ride. Last but not least there are two rabits Maggie and Maud. FUNCTIONS & FOOD: Outeniqua Moon is open from Wednesdays to Sundays for breakfasts, teas and lunches and cart-rides. We are also the home of Fine Farm Fare. Those of you who remember Fine Farm Fare's bacon and gammons from market days, we are the people who make breakfast heaven. We also cater for functions of all kinds. Kiddies parties are a hot favorite. This is also the perfect venue for a country style wedding! We will also be doing year-end parties for companies. The food is devine and the hospitality very warm! ACCOMMODATION: We have a self catering cottage with 2 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, BBQ facilities. Our B&B suites are very tastefully furnished to suite a colonial farm style, very pretty and wonderfully comfortable. There are amazing verandahs to sit on and mountain views all round to delight the eye. Each suite has a seprate lounge area witha sleeper couch. The beds are either single or king-size. All the bed linen is cotton and the pillows are soft. Every suite has a little kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. Please contact us directly for rates & bookings.
