Sedgefield is located between Knysna and George along the spectacular Garden Route, ensuring easy access to all popular tourist attractions in the area. It is a beautiful seaside village surrounded entirely by lakes, sand dunes covered in fynbos and pine plantations. To the west lies Swartvlei, forming a safe estuary for swimming, canoeing, windsurfing as well as good fishing for the enthusiastic angler.

Sedgefield lies in the heart of the Lakes District and is known for its golden beaches, water sports and paragliding. Nature has blessed this area with a pleasant temperate climate and moderate rainfall throughout the year. It borders the Goukamma Nature Reserve and the Wilderness National Park, leaving the visitor no shortage of bird watching and walks through indigenous fauna and flora. Sedgefield is a birdwatchers paradise, with over 250 listed species.
